This resort is located directly on the piste - so no hard slogs with your skis across your back to get to shuttle bus stops and back again. I find this is one of the most important factors when choosing a ski apartment.
This type of ski chalet residence is becoming increasingly rare - the architecture has been designed with charm and character, in keeping with the authentic Alpine style of old - lots of wooden beams and terraces, noble stone walls... perfectly integrated into the natural environment in which it lies.
In fact, the architects' aim was to conceive a residence perfectly in tune with its place on the mountainside, so as not to look out of place or incongruous with the gentle undulations or greenery surrounding it. To this end the residence is designed of several buildings, all of different designs and with no more than 6 units on each floor, allowing many constructional articulations, and buildings of differing heights, in the image of a small village. No big square grey concrete apartment blocks here!
Sitting at the highest part of the ski station, at 1700m, you have panoramic views over the pistes, the valleys and the mountain-tops.
At the end of the day, soothe away the efforts of perfecting your parallel turns in the jacuzzi, sauna or heated indoor pool with wonderful views over the pistes.
Or head straight to the bar from the piste and warm up with an amoratic vin chaud.
The apartments themselves will have French windows all along the sunny balconies so you can benefit from the stunning views over the valley. The design and furniture have been considered and chosen with style and comfort in mind.
Services include bilingial staff (French and English), daily cleaning of the communal areas, changeover cleaning and even an option after your own stay, provision of towels and bedlinen etc, information about the activities and shows that re on in the station, message service.
